Experience Days are an exciting way for children to explore the Christian festivals.
They are a concept of Gloucester Diocese and Groundbreakers work with local churches to host these Experience Days. Children travel around stations set up in the church building, school or other venue and have opportunities to reflect on the different aspects of the story behind the festival through multi-sensory activities. The children leave the Experience with a goody bag containing the things they have made and something to help them remember their day.
Groundbreakers currently offer Experience Christmas, Experience Easter and Experience Pentecost.
These days are well received by staff and children alike. At a recent Experience Easter at a church in North Manchester one little boy declared that it had been the best day ever and he was VERY chuffed with his goody bag containing his crafts, a book and an easter egg!!
